Some houses don't need new owners - they just need new victims.
When the Afolayans lose everything in Port Harcourt, they seize what feels like a miracle - a chance to rebuild their lives in Ibadan.
Bamidele, a lecturer newly employed at the University of Ibadan, moves his wife Ifeoluwa, a nurse, and their two children into a sprawling colonial mansion on Aremo Hill. The house is old but beautiful, and the price was almost too good to be true.
But beneath the beauty lies something unspeakable.
Decades ago, the mansion belonged to Chief Oladiran Aboderin - a man who murdered his entire family after discovering their greatest betrayal. He buried them in the garden, hung himself in the attic, and cursed the house with his dying breath. Since then, Aremo House has been left to rot - sealed by fear, whispered about in the town below.
Now, as the Afolayans settle in, the past begins to stir.
Footsteps echo in empty rooms. Doors close on their own.
Blood drips from the walls.
The children speak to voices that no one else can hear.
As faith unravels and madness takes hold, the family must confront not only the evil that lives within the mansion... but the darkness that is slowly consuming them from within.
Because in Aremo House, death was never the end - it was only the beginning.
