Mattheo Riddle does not experience love the way other people do. What begins as curiosity becomes something sharper, heavier - an interest Mattheo cannot ignore and has no intention of resisting. He is not used to wanting things he cannot immediately take. He is not used to obstacles. And he has never been patient with either. When Mattheo Riddle decides someone belongs to him, the world around them changes. Quietly. Permanently. People step back without knowing why. Doors close. Choices disappear. And somewhere in the middle of it all, Mattheo finds himself wondering - calmly, seriously - how she would look covered in red. Not as destruction. As devotion.
