But (Y/n) didn't like this idea and when it came to the ceremony rehearsal, she panicked and ran out with tears in her eyes. What happens when she practises her vows correctly and accidentally gets married to...a corpse groom?! Until a young man ventured into the woods where she was slain, accidentally causing her to rise from the dead. Join in and experience a tale of how the living can bring love to the dead, as much as the opposite. To match the Halloween spirit, I shall create a romantic story starring one of my favorite animated characters, I hope you all enjoy this and the spooky season!

A rewrite of Tim Burton's Corpse Bride in Romeo and Juliet. Victor Van Dort and Victoria Everglot's families have arranged their marriage. Though they like each other, Victor is nervous about the ceremony. While he's in a forest practicing his lines for the wedding, a tree branch becomes a hand that drags him to the land of the dead. It belongs to Emily, an Everglot ancestor who was murdered after eloping with her love and wants to marry Victor. Victor also discovers a forgotten feud between his and Emily's families that dates back generations and could affect his relationship with Emily. When he is punished for a crime he didn't commit, he must get back underground before Emily is arranged to marry Lord Barkis Bittern. Can he do it in time, and will his feelings for Emily affect his marriage to Victoria?

Okay so... I was laying in bed one night, not able to sleep, when I thought of this... Idea... An Idea... For a "Corpse Bride" inspired Prussia x reader. And this was born! It's been ten years since the event occurred. Everyone in town knew the story of the doomed groom, the tragic tale of a young groom stabbed on his wedding day, but no one knew who did it or what happened to his corpse. It was the kind of story that somehow slithered its way into every conversation, no matter if it is about the weather or the price of a dress. When Lord and Lady L/N fall into debt after they invest in a stupid business venture, they are "forced" to marry off their only child Y/N to the very rich Ivan Braginsky. Y/N, in an act of defiance to her parents, refuses to learn her vows. But with the date of the wedding fast approaching, and no sign of it being cancelled altogether, an unhappy marriage seems to be a guaranteed part of Y/N's future... That is... until a heated walk into the woods after a disastrous wedding rehearsal leads Y/N to finding, and accidentally marrying, the mostly preserved corpse of the doomed groom. Still mentally and physically the age he was, the doomed groom, also known as Gilbert, has no memory of who killed him. Which is a problem because he has to find and kill his murderer in order to regain his life. Oh, and one more thing... If Y/N doesn't help him find the killer in two weeks, both she and Gilbert will forever be condemned to be tortured souls. Will the unlikely couple find the killer and Gilbert will be restored to his living, breathing, awesome self... Or will they spend the rest of forever floating around in agony? This is the Doomed Groom. I do not own Hetalia or any of the songs I put in this fic except for some songs I changed the lyrics a bit to fit it into the context of the scenes.

At first, I saw it as just a make-believe game. But when I look back, it taught me two essential things. 1. how to treat a woman right 2. everyone deserves love in their life
