One year after the events of Death Note, a 17-year-old soon-to-be 18-year-old Gothic girl and wannabe witch named Anna Marie Monroe moves to Japan with her acquaintance, Christy Grim who dreams of starting a singing career. Marie tries to get used to the different lifestyle in Japan compared to how different it was in America since she has no desire to return until she graduates from her senior year of high school so she can be able to get over her breakup with a fellow classmate named John Michaels. Everything seems to be going normal until Marie finds a Death Note which contains the power to kill anyone whose name is written inside of it. Marie is hesitant at first but then starts killing the world's most dangerous criminals and meets someone she only thought she'd meet in her wildest dreams.

Light Yagami's life takes an unprecedented turn when he stumbles upon the Death Note as he struggles to keep the truth hidden and secrets from being unfolded. Especially what does morals mean when all you do is follow the one you admire most? Light Yagami and Chase Sato were childhood best friends. Light was always perfect and had a privileged life with loving parents and a great sister. Chase was average but still always tries to catch up to Light during studies. They both have the same morals in terms of justice, right? The justice system is corrupt and many people get punished without fair trial. At least, that is what Chase always believed in. He wanted to try to make a career that has laws involved. From a lawyer or detective, he would love to make a difference. Light has the same motivations, right? Then one day, the news of Kira has been out in the news and while Chase couldn't help but to be fascinated, he also felt a put in his stomach. Something didn't feel right. Will Chase remain the same, or grow to stand on his own feet, especially if it means going against the man he loved and admired (Didn't want to see LawLight but wanted to see Light being paired with a male character/reader so I did this Going based on memory or what I can see, just depends. Shipping won't be a huge thing. Yes, you do have to have watch the anime to read this. Most of this will be in Chase's POV until it deviates more from the anime)

Against her original plans, Y/N joins in this unsettling yet surprisingly entertaining case and its Task Force.

Ryuk finds himself gaining feelings for Light Yagami's best friend, but she doesn't know he exists. When he makes the grave mistake of touching her, he makes things a lot more complicated.

After Mello's death, Near's sister, Jell(Jean River), sank into sorrow for over a year--until one day she received an anonymous parcel...
