On this particular day they watch as the laboratory's sign is changed to reflect a new mission. The youngest Gabriella becomes upset what this means for them. All born in captivity, they are entertained with TV. A program hosts an offensive guest attributing the whole purpose of the Creator's intention for humanity to do at will. The eldest Gibbon Maximillian forces a discussion to put Gabriella at ease. In the process they discuss humankind's happiness given this special place, why are they destroying everything out of greed. They come to a conclusion from the title.
