SHORT STORY Jimin went missing months ago and the investigation has collapsed. Yoongi, Jimin's boyfriend, isn't done searching for answers. He comes across a box filled with drafts of notes. Every note was a going away note. Finally, he knows where his beloved boyfriend has gone. - @prettyeunwoo

This is a short story based on the first chapter of "The Things They Carry". I have never read the full book, so it should make sense to people who haven't read the book. It is from the perspective of Martha, a girl in America who a soldier in Vietnam, named Jimmy, is in love with. I wrote it for a creative writing class, but I like it a lot, so I figured I'd post it here. I hope you guys like it! Feel free to comment what you like about it or if it makes sense(:

Benny Bendeto, an 18 year old boy is drafted into the civil war of democrats versus republicans. His father is drafted to the other side and their family is forced to split apart. Benny's one mission is to find his younger sister Daphne. Sometimes when your looking for one thing, hundreds of other things come along instead. And Benny's case? Well, he was definitely having to carry more than he could hold. This story has multiple twists, as well as the fact that it's a short story so it moves pretty fast. Read my intro chapter to find out more! Tw: This story mentions death, and focuses on schizophrenia as well as small details of other mental illnesses.
