It was the 29th Millenium. The Empire was born from one of the bloodiest wars ever witnessed by the galaxy, raise from the crumbling body of the human federation. In March 1814, during the Campaign in North-east France, a mysterious Gate opened in Épernay. Which the Roman Era soldiers began to attack the Coalition March towards Paris and Napoleon's Armee, this results of Treaty of Troyes, marking the end of Napoleonic wars and form an unlikely alliance of France and Coalition. Major victories; Battle of Arcis-sur-Aube and Battle of Épernay. This results of Roman era soldiers retreated to the Gate. By weeks, Franco-Coalition mobilized quickly and began to expand and explore beyond the Gate. Events, Battles, Politics, Adventure and Alliance will occur. Despite the title, the story introduces a vast expansion in the world and lore of gate as well as changes, but everything remains true to the Gate formula. At first It was supposed to be only a Gate X Marine fanfic but over time it developed into an alternative plot line diverging from the original so don't be surprised why the first season strictly sticks to canon.
