In the land of Termina, there echoes a legend of a vagabond who, within the span of three days, saved it and the rest of the world from a terrible fate. The true story is far stranger and more treacherous than most know of. This is the story of what the people call, the Mask Wearer. An OC/Self-Insert character driven novelization of Majora's Mask.

This story is about a group of friends in hyrule that have to save it. A darkness befalls hyrule and so after the group meet they set out on a journey. Also Skull kid or Majora won't be evil this time. Link has also vanished, so who is left to save hyrule? When Ganon already has two triforce pieces? And Link no where around? The main characters of this story are: Skull kid, Zelda, Midna, Sidon and Daru the goron.

This is a short story that I am in the making of for the game Breath of the wild. I love this game and I wanted to imagine what Link went through during his journey after he awoken because in the games he hasn't been really given a voice. I hope you enjoy. "The hell makes you say that? They're kids, Ghirahim, barely in high school," he snapped, barely keeping his tone a whisper. "Think about it, Volga. You've seen Link's and Zelda's incarnations before, we both have. They always have the same look, the same air about them. It could be coincidence that they look like the original hero and Goddess, and share their names. But Zelda's incredible cunning and staggeringly keen knowledge on events that aren't written in modern history books, Link's keen sense of what is right and wrong that he never got from you- my apologies, but you've learned more from him about hylian morality than he did you- and his natural affinity with a blade that's giving you a run for your money when he's only sixteen. You weren't around for when the original Vaati terrorized the lands, but...the current Vaati's powers are frighteningly similar, and they're a spitting image of the original wind mage." Link always knew he was the "Hero of Hyrule." But after defeating Calamity Ganon, there was nothing left to do. No motive for him to continue his adventure. He was stuck. What does he do now that his life's purpose disappeared? Hang up his sword or find a new enemy to fight? Follow Link, a silent hero, as he tries to discover a new purpose in life, make friends, and rebuild a town along the way. This story contains spoilers for Nintendo's Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. I do not own the cover art or the characters used in this story. But the plot and decisions are all mine. I will not be following the true/secret ending either. I'll leave that to Nintendo. Character interactions and side quests will not be exact either. Yes, I will use the game as a HUGE reference. But i will not be copying *all* dialogue. Mostly just the very important ones that I find are relevant and fit in with my story, such as in the first chapter, and possibly in a few later on as well. I will not be using the same side quests either. Either way, I still hope you enjoy this adventure.
