What if Chrissy and Eddie's souls were trapped in the Upside Down? After the others weakened Vecna, the souls he had trapped escaped from his curse. Chrissy manifests back into existence and Eddie wakes from the verge of death. They're getting a second chance at life, but there's no short of dangers where they remain. Will they find a way back to their world and what will happen between them during their time together? ________ If you're a Hellcheer shipper, then you'll enjoy this story! I love both of their characters so much and I wanted an opportunity to explore what could have been between them. I also want to stay canon, so I'm following the actual storyline while creating a side story of what might be happening between season 4 and 5. This story is told from Chrissy's point of view because I feel that we can all relate to a lot of her thoughts and feelings as we got to know the character of Eddie throughout season 4. EDDISSY / HELLCHEER She was just there to fulfill her role whenever called upon, and of course, always expected to follow the script and read her lines-perfectly. He faced the scandalized cheerleaders at Chrissy's table and seemed to revel in their disapproving looks, as if their antipathy was his very lifeblood. Chrissy... kind of loved that. The day Chrissy Cunningham left the town of Hawkins was the best day of her life. She moved to California to study, found new friends and tried to forget everything that had happened in the spring of 1986. She was finally free of her mother, of Hawkins and of whatever horrors went down because of her mother and Hawkins. And even though she also left behind Eddie and a promise of something that never really came to be, Chrissy forced herself to never look back. Until her mother died.

The sun has fully risen by the time I shuffle towards the door, looking like the mess I feel. The mess I made. I check the room one more time. It's empty, but it's not. Can't be.
