The day Chrissy Cunningham left the town of Hawkins was the best day of her life. She moved to California to study, found new friends and tried to forget everything that had happened in the spring of 1986. She was finally free of her mother, of Hawkins and of whatever horrors went down because of her mother and Hawkins. And even though she also left behind Eddie and a promise of something that never really came to be, Chrissy forced herself to never look back. Until her mother died.

"Harringtons got her, don't ya big boy~" This is a universe where everything that actually happened in stranger things, didnt happen here

Chrissy Cunningham has been feeling the pressure of maintaining her image as the "Queen of Hawkins High". She constantly feels the need to put on a persona to keep up this image: putting on a perfect bubbly smile, perfectly doing flips in her perfect cheer uniform, and being shown off by her perfect boyfriend, Jason. Between this pressure and her difficult home life, Chrissy feels about ready to break. However, after meeting (or perhaps re-meeting) known "freak" Eddie Munson, she feels her world begin to shift. Chrissy finds herself living two lives, and soon her freeness she feels with Eddie starts to seem more like a ticking time bomb as she struggles to balance two personalities, appearances, and boys. It's only a matter of time before the walls of her glass castle come crashing down.

EDDISSY / HELLCHEER She was just there to fulfill her role whenever called upon, and of course, always expected to follow the script and read her lines-perfectly. He faced the scandalized cheerleaders at Chrissy's table and seemed to revel in their disapproving looks, as if their antipathy was his very lifeblood. Chrissy... kind of loved that. Secretly wished she possessed even the tiniest bit of his bravado. (In which Chrissy Cunningham is slowly descending into madness, feeling alone and unseen, until she comes across one Eddie Munson, who helps keep her sane while making her feel seen and cared for.)

A four part series based on Eddie and Chrissy's final year at Hawkins High. Chrissy is an AU version for the purpose of the fic (and also because I haven't watched Stranger Things so, ya know, writers liberty). Thank you to @thegirlwhowritesfics and @crimsonheart01 for hyping me up and giving me notes on Eddie's character. I'm not feeling well so the title is the best I could come up with and it's edited "enough".

A world, some may call it another universe that they can be that crazy American highschool cliche of a bad boy and a good girl couple at Hawkins High and finally graduate their senior years without having to worry about the harsh evil that is Vecna. But that doesn't mean that trouble and unexpected things will show up for the two. Broken hearts and secrets will be revealed, can these two stick together for it all?
