This is a book I've been working on since October 15th 2025.
Ava joins her school's literature club and quickly becomes captivated by Veronica, a quiet and thoughtful girl who shares her love for writing. They bond almost immediately, spending time co-writing stories and talking in a way that feels natural yet deeply personal. Ava finds herself drawn to Veronica's presence, noticing the smallest details about her and feeling an emotional connection she can't fully explain.
As Ava settles into the club, she meets Vincent, Veronica's brother, and Michael, Vincent's best friend. The four of them form a group for a school writing project, and their time together becomes a mix of laughter, chaos, and creativity. Through these moments, Ava grows closer to both Veronica and Michael, and the group dynamic begins to blur the line between friendship and something more complicated.
Michael shows clear interest in Ava, often giving her special attention and flirting with her, including leaving her a mysterious letter to open on her birthday. While Ava is flustered and intrigued by him, Veronica begins to act differently-quieter, more distant, and subtly jealous whenever Ava and Michael interact. Despite this, Veronica shares meaningful conversations with Ava, revealing a more vulnerable side and hinting at deeper feelings.
Ava becomes increasingly conflicted as she tries to understand her emotions. She enjoys Michael's attention and finds comfort in his presence, but her connection with Veronica feels more intense and genuine. Veronica quietly warns her not to "choose what's easy," suggesting that Ava may be ignoring what she truly feels. At the same time, the story the group is writing starts to mirror their real emotions, reflecting their confusion and unspoken tensions.
As the relationships deepen, Ava is pulled between what seems simple and what feels real, struggling to figure out where her heart truly belongs.
