Aiden's summer of quiet isolation is sabotaged by Lucas and his circle of jocks; the exact people Aiden took a job in the woods to avoid. Pestered by stupid jokes and needy campers, his plans to be ready for a musical audition by the end of the summer slips further and further away from reality. There's one person to blame; one person who seems like he'd accept Aiden one moment and laugh at him for having a dream the next. Doubt, misgivings and heartache disrupt his life, but give him a summer he'll never forget. Cover designed by @yukikoking_94!

Back in Kazan, they called her a fashion icon. In St Petersburg, School 209 has a different word for it. Alexandrina Sorokina arrives at School 209 in St Petersburg with starched classic Fit jeans a couple inches too long, a pressed crease, a Hijab, a red lip, exact change for the metro, and absolutely no intention of changing any of it for anyone. For 10 days she is mercilessly bullied. For 10 days she holds her position. Then, just as she is about to Fold and Crumble, On a cliff above the Gulf of Finland, she meets Konstantin - a shirtless, arrogant, insolent, impudent boy, in September, at 5:30 Pm, in fourteen degrees celsius weather, leaning against a birch tree like it was placed there specifically for him. He mocks her tormentors, issues instructions about her wardrobe, eats her mother's pirog, drinks her Dilmah tea to the last drop, and dives off the cliff before she can object to any of it. She does not know his last name. She does not know his age. She does not know why he keeps showing up on her cliff on the exact same days she does. She knows only that he is insufferable, that his grandmother deserves a formal apology on his behalf, and that she is absolutely, definitively, not going on Sunday. She goes on Sunday.

He looks nothing like his African mother, but is the spitting image of his controversial father. Our Anti-hero and sorcerer, the mystic Rasputin's only son and foretold successor, Vladimir, who grew up in a Monastery, battles his inner demons with ambivalence about the world of holiness, seclusion and purity, as opposed to desire, power, love, and revenge. Based in a fictional world of magic, wizards and sorcery, and heavily inspired by the assassination of Grigori Rasputin in Russia. In this tale, European mysticism meets African Obeah, also known as African black magic. Follow along as Rasputin's mixed race children avenge his death in a battle not of good and evil, but of desire, chaos and confusion. Will Vladimir escape the monastery, his holy prison? Will he want to? Will he work together with his Obeah practicing black mother and sisters or turn against them? Will he find true love? Read to learn more! *Disclaimer* This story is NOT an accurate description of History or Russia, instead its based in a fictional world that is heavily inspired by Russia, and the life of Grigori Rasputin, but does not reflect the actual events of his life or death. The places, events and time period of these events are also not in line with actual history and some places mentioned do not exist. This story is not intended to address Soviet Russia or any political concerns related to the region. It's very superficial in its relation to the culture and language. I wanted to have as much creative liberty as possible and create my OWN take on historical events through the realm of fantasy. Also, I am not from Russia, and my knowledge on their culture and language is superficial at best so you should really go to a more reputable source if you want to learn more about the interesting history of the people. To learn more about this fascinating historical figure, please do your research! Reality is sometimes even more intriguing than fiction.

The rent isn't paid in cash. It's paid in bone. When Jack and his seven friends moved into the sprawling, century-old house on the hill, they thought they'd found a steal. It was a chance to start over, a sanctuary with original hardwood floors and a history that felt more charming than chilling. But the house wasn't empty. It was waiting. It starts with a whisper in the dark-a sound Jack thinks is just a dream. Then the floorboards begin to hum. The dirt in the basement starts to scream. And the ink-black shadows on the walls begin to move with an intent that no physics can explain. Locked inside a shifting architectural nightmare, the group discovers the horrific truth: they aren't tenants; they are a harvest. The house's original owner, Elias Thorne, signed a pact in 1929 that kept his land fertile while the world withered. Now, the "Landlord" has come to collect a century of interest, and he wants their marrow to fuel the foundation. As the house begins to "sift" them-turning logic into wallpaper and friends into echoes-Jack realizes he is the key to the contract. To save the survivors, he must descend into a sub-basement made of biology and bone to revoke a lease signed in blood. In a world where the sky is the color of a bruise and the trees have teeth, Jack must decide what he's willing to sacrifice to evict a monster.
