Everyone knows about Jaytee and Lavender's dislike of being broken apart from each other because the two are rarely seen alone for many days. But one day, Jaytee has to separate from Lavender to go on a solo quest (he could not decline to do it). How will they manage to live without each other for a while?

Jaytee was hanging out with Lavender in her house, but suddenly a severe storm left them with no power. With nothing coming back anytime now, what will the couple do in the dark while the blinding lightning bolts flash and the monstrous thunder roars?

Told from Lavender's perspective, this short oneshot talks about Jaytee being her summer of love as the two lovehogs cuddle each other on the beach. Inspired by Shawn Mendes's song "Summer of Love," this is my first fanfic written in poetic form (cut me some slack if this is not the best).
