This story follows a series of mysterious deaths near the fictional Indonesian forest of Hutan Shamrat, where a young adventure-loving forest officer uncovers a mystery freeing an innocent girl from the clutches of an evil Jinn. All characters, places and events are entirely fictional and bear no link to real people or incidents. The story is a mix of adventure, thrill, romance and a bit of Jinn world experience.

It's the first part of a trilogy based on a mother and her daughter. Awakening is about the mother, Lilian. It's her journey through the super-natural and her discovery of herself being the product of human and supernatural. A jinn hybrid.

When I was a child, my family stayed at my grandma's huge two-story house while she was away. One night, the lights suddenly went out... and something terrifying happened on the second floor. A chair moved on its own, throwing things around, and we were trapped in fear. Was it just our imagination... or was it a jinn? A true childhood experience that still haunts me to this day.

According to some people, succubus and also incubus are a single type of entity but can alter their sex considering that they can shape shift. Often individuals that assume these entities like them as well as look after them, in my viewpoint it is completely false. When having sex-related experiences with their victim, what they care about is the energy they receive.

Djinn, also spelled Jinn and sometimes even called Genies (Jinni), are a rare race of supernatural cave dwelling hermits that have the power to produce powerful hallucinations inside the minds of humans. Djinn are humanoid creatures with tattooed skin that prefer to live in large ruins with a lot of places to hide. They feed on human blood and can poison their victims with a touch. The poison can be used either to kill their victims quickly, or to leave victims in a coma-like state while the djinn feeds on their blood over a long period of time. Djinn are depicted in the Quran as beings with powers. Contemporary lore depicts them as genies and are able to read a person's mind to learn their deepest desires; however, the djinn do not truly grant wishes like the genies of lore. Instead, using their poison, the Djinn causes hallucinations so powerful that the immobilized victim thinks he or she is actually living in the reality the Djinn implanted.
