There's a scene in A Gathering Of Shadows where Kell tells Lila about the history of the unmasking ceremony in the Essen Tasch. He tells her about an assassin who snuck into the tournament to get close the the royals and won, only to attack the royals and kill the Faroan Queen. This is the story of that assassin.
