Tera's POV Seriously, when it comes to screwing everything up, leave it to me. I am just amazing when it comes to that. After I took my memory that fatefull night, I thought I could live a normal life. But six realms, two destroyed, one forgotten, filled with non-human species, and weird stone-thingies that give humans powers, SERIOUSLY... Man... I hope that I will survive this. This is the the first few chapters of the book that I am writing, a forewarning, this isn't edited at all... I am really nervous about putting it out here, and I am not sure I will upload anymore until its done... Though I do hope you enjoy in! Thanks Ed for being so supportive about this! Anya, I am sorry, I know you wanted to write this with me, and I regret our fight. To everyone else who helped me along the way, thank you. This book will be based off my RPG on scratch.mit.edu, but yes, I came up with the idea. This is attempt number three at it.

The mountain is a lonely place for all the creatures that inhabit it, and those that call the mountain home are always the most peculiar of creatures. Eyda's people have a lot of legends about their home, most of them about a mythical Pearl that is said to harness the heat of dragon hearts, and about a creature called the Listener. Eyda decides one day to leave her home, in search of this Pearl. But there are other things that she will come across in her journey. A disembodied voice. Little skeletal, bug-eyed dwarves. Flesh eating bugs. Things that are not what they seem to be are everywhere.

Mia's life runs on routine. Morning classes, late shifts at a small convenience store, quiet nights spent on her phone or half-watching something just to fill the space. It's not exciting, but it's stable, and for a while, that's enough. Then something starts noticing her. It doesn't announce itself all at once. It lingers at a distance, appears where it shouldn't be, leaves behind moments that don't quite make sense until they stack on top of each other. A figure that looks almost human. A presence that doesn't need to be seen to be felt. A voice that doesn't come from anywhere, but still answers. Mia tries to ignore it, to explain it, to keep moving through her routine like nothing has changed. But the boundaries between outside and inside begin to blur, and the feeling of being watched doesn't go away when she closes the door. It stays. And the more she notices it, the more it seems to notice her back.
