Sage Samuelson continues her personal narrative of life as the unconventional flatmate and best friend of Sherlock Holmes and John Watson. Life as an ex-army doctor and a consulting detective isn't conventional, to begin with, but add a drifting, slightly obscure teenage girl, the ex-ward of Mycroft Holmes to boot, and things definitely get interesting. When Sage finds herself on her own for two years, she realizes it's time to face real life and make decisions she was putting off for years. While she struggles with her newfound independence and maintaining the few personal relationships she has, it soon becomes clear she's not exactly safe. In fact, she's in a very vulnerable position and must learn to navigate the complexities of Sherlock's world without him or John to guide her.

The story picks up where the last episode of the BBC series 'Sherlock' left off. John and Sherlock are staying with Mycroft because 221B Baker Street is still destroyed (Molly and Mrs Hudson are looking after Rosie in the meantime). While they are getting everything back in order, they process what has happened and, of course, solve a few minor cases, realising how much they mean to each other.

It's a crossover between harry potter and sherlock. Background: The Harry Potter time line has been pushed up to the Sherlock time line so this story is obviously going to be AU for both series although I will try to keep certain aspects cannon from both although what is yet to be seen. This story takes place some time between 'The Blind Banker' and 'The Great Game' in the Sherlock series and is pre-series for Harry Potter as Harry is only five.
