Ren wakes up in a dumpster with no memories, a name written in someone else's handwriting, and two crumpled lists in his pocket. One tells him what to do. The other tells him what it costs to become something more than he is.
He is an immortal trapped in a death loop. Every time he dies he resurrects in a new body, a new location, with no memory of who he was or what he did before. He could be young or old, healthy or broken, any gender, any size. The only constants are his name, the lists, a ballpoint pen, a pad of blank sticky notes, and a pigeon with a missing toe that he never remembers but that is always there.
Nobody's Hero is a dark comedy about anonymity, small kindness, and the absurdity of trying to save a world that would not recognize you if you did.
