I feel as though my hearts been broken That feeling you get when you're almost in a car crash Or when you see those ASPCA commercials on TV Its like someone's tugging at my heart with no desire to fix it, take care of it, or even keep it beating I feel like I'm suffocating under water with no way to get to the surface Like no one understands why I'm dying, but they just let me drown Its the worst feeling in the world to know you can't undo what's been done No taksies backsies No get out of jail free card You're just, stuck. Like gum on the bottom of a shoe. And yet I wait for you, hopelessly and aimlessly for you to come back To make me feel alive again. Like I have a meaning in life. I don't know how long it'll take. But the fire of my love for you will burn, like a midnight light. Waiting for your return.
