Strangely enough, even the examinees who failed made their way to the matriarchy, be it as Elder or Councillor. As much as the Whales accepted their seats, others aren't so happy with it. We would either win, or we would all die trying. Species of all kinds and forms stood side by side, ready to defend their home and ways of life from the tyrant Kasen of Fall. My burned body wasn't the only severely injured here, not by far, but we were here to even the odds. Kasen would fall. The battle cry rang out, and we charged for Kasen's army, injuring who we could and trying not to kill on contact. Kasen held something all of these people loved, and they were being forced to fight on his behalf. A howl sounded to my left, strong and powerful. Our King. A flash of red and white verified it and I swung at my opponents leg. King Kai was here fighting next to us, being the best he could be. He will win back our country. Suddenly I caught sight of his beautiful blue and silver eyes, startling against his red and white coat, sleek fur showing his powerful muscle tone and build. Something scratched at the back of my head, and he took a step closer. Then it clicked. He, he was my second mate.... and he was about to be killed. A man raised his sword and slashed down, and I looked away.
