(DISCLAIMER: Sort of connected to the famous byler fic we all know... you took my heart!) STRANGER THINGS FUTURE WITH KIDS Sixteen years ago, a group of kids survived things no one their age should have had to face. Monsters, fear, and the kind of darkness that follows you into adulthood. But they grew up. They built lives. Families. Futures. Now, in the May of 2010, they're coming back together. When Dustin Henderson invites everyone to his farm outside Connecticut to celebrate a huge breakthrough in his scientific career, it's supposed to be a reunion - a week of laughter, memories, and letting their kids meet like they do every spring the people who once meant everything to them. For Evalynn Jane Wheeler, it's more than just a visit. Sixteen and quietly questioning everything about who she is becoming, Evalynn arrives with her dads, Mike Wheeler and Will Byers, expecting a normal family trip. Instead she finds herself surrounded by cousins-in-everything-but-blood: Nathan, Billy, Willow, Nora, Stephen, and her little sister Jodie - each of them carrying their own expectations, fears, and secrets. As friendships grow stronger and tensions rise, the next generation begins to realize that growing up is far messier than they imagined. And then the storm comes. A violent spring thunderstorm traps everyone on the farm overnight, knocking out power and forcing truths into the open. Old wounds resurface. New bonds form. And in a single night filled with lightning and rain, the kids begin to understand the complicated, beautiful lives their parents built after surviving the impossible. Because sometimes the biggest storms don't destroy things. Sometimes they show you who you really are. The Color of Rain is a generational story about family, identity, growing up, and the quiet ways love shapes the people we become.

Mike Wheeler spent his life writing an ending he could never finish. They said Eleven died saving the world, but grief taught him how to wait instead. Years pass. Books are written. A child is adopted. Life moves forward-but never quite away from her. When his daughter travels to Iceland, chasing waterfalls and photographs, fate begins to stir. A woman named Jane waits at the center of it all-carrying memories, paintings, and a past she never escaped. Some love doesn't end. It simply waits for the right moment to be found again.
