December. A thirteen year old girl vanishes from her sleepy coastal village. Days pass. The worst is assumed. In the ensuing chaos, repressed memories resurface in the mind of her older brother. Through the thin veils of my eyelids florescent light pierced through. The smell of disinfectant and day old food lingered in the air. My limbs started to wake causing pain to pulsate throughout my body. I took a shallow breath in and tasted warm salty tears. I was finally regaining consciousness.
