Jade had what most would consider the perfect life. The daughter of a doctor, and a college professor. Raised in an affluent Dallas neighborhood, she grew up surrounded by structure, opportunity, and expectations. Jade was unbothered and focused. The kind of woman people would underestimate because she smiled easily and trusted freely. But at twenty-two, safety started to feel like suffocation. Accepted into a nursing program Jade moved to Houston chasing her dream career and freedom. Believing independence was the final piece to becoming who she was meant to be. Her apartment sat high above the city, with marble countertops, floor-to-ceiling windows, with a skyline view. A quiet luxury that matched the life she was building. Houston already felt familiar. Her best friends were there. Her people, her balance. Dana was the voice of reason, while Brooklyn was the reason plans were never supposed to end early. A girl's night out at an upscale lounge is where she met him. Marcus McKinney. A charming, smooth-talking music producer-manager wrapped in an illusion of ambition, and good looks. Marcus was everything she thought she wanted and slowly revealed himself to be everything she should've run from. What started with flowers, late-night drives, studio vibes, and intoxicating chemistry. Unraveled into manipulation, control, and emotional chaos. Lies blurred into truths. Love blurred into survival. And Jade found herself trapped in a cycle of narcissistic abuse she didn't recognize until it nearly took everything away from her. This is more than a story It's an educational, emotionally raw exploration of narcissistic abuse told through realism, psychology, and lived experience. Gaslighting. Triangulation. Trauma bonds and Red flags we ignore when love feels good. Sometimes love isn't the blessing you prayed for. It's the lesson you needed to learn. ⚠️ This story explores emotional abuse, manipulation, and trauma.

Springtide. A word carrying two meanings. It is the time when the tides grow strongest. When sun, moon, and earth fall into a rare alignment and their invisible pull is rising the oceans waters higher than usual. When shores disappear beneath the swelling sea, washing all stains of the past away in one furious motion. It is also the first, soft breath of spring after a long winter. A stirring of live starting a shift in an eternal, icy stillness and a feeling of light and warmth setting upon frozen earth and bringing renewal and color back into the world. 🌸 Marcus Volturi is fated to live and die in tragic fate. Sadness, pain and longing for his one and only true love and mate Didyme are supposed to end his story. Well... until Thalia - Gen Z, law student, girliepop, and most importantly: his world greatest fan - dies (an absolutely heroic death) and gets reincarnated into the world of the „twilight"-novels. Sure, it takes her some time until she finds out, where the infamous reincarnation truck got her to. And yes, starting live somewhere in the 80s, without proper internet and this war crime they call fashion is everything but easy. Not talking about hitting puberty (again) and finding out investing in Apple is hard as a minor (even if you have the mind of an adult) or blackmailing Laurent into giving her the fucking vampire bite. But Tilly makes it her new live goal to save her favorite, restore his joy, make him ruler over Volterra, and getting revenge on everyone that wronged him (hello Aro and Caius). Nobody could foretell that she would end up accidentally marrying him in the process. But hey, that only gives her a better opinion to achieve her goal! Surely Marcus would never fall in love with his new, determined wife and finding his light again in her, right? ...Right?

There will always be a whisper within you that wants to find a place where to be. To get there is to sail across your ocean of fears without anything but the palm of your hands to navigate with the help of stars in the night sky. We're all mariners reclaiming the parts of us that were stolen away by the stern waltz of the waters. Crossing in the dark, where waves of disappointments and restrictions might crash on us. That whisper will echo through the right path, lighting up the dimmed hopes to see your beautiful depths, and splashing us towards the path of growth and uncharted ending.

It's hard out there. It's hard staying inside too. I decided to write this "self-help book" to chip in during this stressful moment in my own way. Long lines and empty shelves at the supermarkets, people afraid of leaving their homes, a crippling financial downturn-I've lived through those terrifying situations before, and I want to share with you a few tips that might save your sanity during these trying times. While some chapters could seem like self-development BS at first glance, they are not. I don't sugarcoat the struggles we are going through either. Whatever you do regularly during this lockdown will become a habit. Think about that! With KICK ANXIETY'S ASS! 10 TIPS TO STAY SANE IN TIMES OF CRISIS, STRESS, AND ISOLATION, my goal is to give you a quick and practical guide to not giving up while we are self-isolating. I hope you'll find value in these pages because what you are going through now is my routine. It might sound dramatic (it's not), but over the last seven years, I've worked full-time from home, I emigrated from my country, and had to reshape my life in countless ways. A lot of it involved being away from my loved ones while also making the most of the great indoors. If you want to learn how I changed my outlook and kept a sense of normality in the face of uncertainty, please read on.

Before the man... there was a boy. Before the strength... there was weight. The Weight of Becoming is not just a memoir-it's a reckoning. From a childhood shaped by absence, tension, and the quiet formation of identity, to the rigid structure and unforgiving demands of the United States Army, Jonathan Kyle Douget takes you into the moments that forged him. Through deployments, internal battles, and the unseen aftermath of service, this is a story not about war itself-but about what war leaves behind. This is about the roles we grow into before we understand them. The expectations we carry before we choose them. The weight that never asks for permission. Boy. Soldier. Man. Father. Each version of him didn't replace the last- they stacked. And with each step forward, the weight grew heavier... and more meaningful. Raw, reflective, and unfiltered, this memoir pulls back the curtain on what it really means to become-when life doesn't give you the luxury of figuring it out slowly. Because the truth is: You don't lose the weight. You learn how to carry it.

DISCLAIMER: These review/critique things are based on first impressions. I will NOT be reading the entirety of your book. My purpose is to urge my clients to learn something new about their story. (Though opinions may vary across participants.) Maybe your review from me will be the catalyst that makes you quit writing for a period of time. Maybe my review is the confidence boost you need in order to take that next step. Maybe my review will help you see your errors and better yourself. Maybe it will do nothing to help you at all and you'll just think of me as a turd after. My goal is not to tell you how to think; I am just a milk dud trying to do something semi-productive as I procrastinate away. Also, in no way am I implying that I am a superior writer to any of my clients, I'm just bored & have attained a decent critical eye on picking out "the bad", I think. We all have written garbage before (you might be writing one right now and have yet to realize it! Who knows-- let me help you find out!), this is just a process that has been done a googolplex amount of times throughout the centuries and the multiverse. This is not unique to only you. It is just a cycle, and you are part of it, which is why I am here to shove you along in one tiny portion of it. If you think that I'm a "rude bitch", all of this seems too intimidating, or maybe even melodramatic--I get it. To a certain extent, I even agree with you! You know yourself better than I do. Remember: no one is forcing you to request and I'll have less reviews to get to. 🤷🏾♂️ {P.S. Super depressed and poor so I'm prone to take breaks. Oops. Edit: On an indefinite hiatus if that isn't obvious. All posted reviews have pretty helpful info in them I like to think tho!} Okay, I'll quit the foreplay and get on with it. I hope you enjoy my services whether you request or not! (Cover done by yours truly)
