You know I just realized that out of all the self-inserts/reader/O.C x characters, no one has really tackled the idea of that going completely south in a hilarious direction. So here it is: My parody of those types of fanfiction.

⸻ Kael Veyron believed in Heroes. They were the world's saviors-worshipped, celebrated, untouchable. Until one of them erased him. Not by killing him... but by denying he ever existed. His name vanished from records. His truth was rewritten. And when he tried to fight back, the world called him a liar. Left with nothing, Kael is thrown into a Rupture-an impossible break in reality where people like him are meant to die. But he survives. And awakens to something forbidden: the Hollow Throne. Now, every time the world rejects him, he grows stronger. And every time a Hero is praised, the truth inside them begins to decay. Kael is no longer part of the system. He is what the system cannot explain. And the more the world tries to bury him... the more inevitable he becomes.

For the aging John Hamilton, life after losing his son is a constant cycle of drinking and passing out on the curbside of the Moonlight Pub.
