As a rite of passage into the Roosevelt Club, young men are expected to conduct themselves as proper gentleman, find a suitable profession, and hunt one of the monstrous theropods from atop a plateau located in the Americas. For Landon Cruise, this means both gaining his father's approval and a means to raise his status. But a devastating injury prevents him from landing the kill, forcing him deeper into the Plateau to avoid both the Giganotosaurus hunting him, and fellow sportsmen from the Roosevelt Club looking to clean up their reputation.
