In Chapter 1, Folasade and David, a young Nigerian couple, arrive at Waverly Place, a restaurant with an irresistible reputation: every meal is said to change lives. From the moment they step inside, the warm glow of the restaurant's exterior gives way to an eerie stillness. The menu offers dishes with names that both intrigue and unsettle, 'Bloody Ribs,' 'Killer Apple Pie', and the staff, polite to the point of discomfort, seem to be watching their every move. As the night unfolds, what begins as a romantic dinner turns into something much darker. Why does it feel like they were meant to be here?
