Although her curse wasn't the same as many other's which was put under a sleeping curse, her curse was to never remember, for her mind to be wiped clean every time she fell asleep. The curse that Maleificant casted goes as inscribed: ["Every night once she has fallen asleep she shall not remember the day's event's, this curse will only be broken when she meets her one true love"] So, from that day onwards she never remembers a thing.
