The idea of writing a story about the Valeska twins had been in my mind for a long time, and finally in a moment off from college , I managed to write this first chapter. In the story you'll find the character of the reader (Your/name) even if it will be OC details. It's been over seventy-five years since the original Batman first appeared in Gotham City, but now it's present day, and Gotham is still the crime-ridden city it was seventy-five years ago. Katherine Wells, a student at Gotham High, has dawned the cape and cowl to join the fight against crime. So when a drug called JV starts becoming popular in her school, she investigates, but what will she find? Author's Acknowledgement: I'll admit it upfront, I didn't really grow up with Batman. My father was a big fan of the 1960s Adam West show and we often watch it together during my early childhood there wasn't really much of Batman around. People were still recovering from Batman and Robin, and while I got to watch glimpses of re-runs of Batman: The Animated Series and the then new Teen Titans, my mother refused to let me watch them because she felt they were "too dark". This also came true when the Nolan trilogy started coming out and I was never allowed to see any of these films in theaters. In this fanfic I hope to achieve a marriage between the dark and campy aspects of Batman, granting the tone shifts aren't too jarring. So stay tuned, same Bat time, same Bat channel!

The Joker has adopted a daughter with abilities she refuses to use and also refuses to kill. She knows once she does either of those things she be on the wrong side of the law, meaning Batman has and will have a reason to come after her. She wants to convince him that she is a good person but struggles. Zoë may be the Joker's daughter but she will never act like it.
