After the sudden death of his parents, sixteen-year-old Rowan Hale is sent to spend the summer in the quiet coastal town of Blackwood Bay. The town is... wrong. The people are too friendly, like they're watching him. The woods feel alive, like something is always just out of sight. And the bay itself-still and silent around a rusted shipwreck-doesn't behave like water should. The only person who doesn't seem to fit is Andy Calder-distant, guarded, and impossible to ignore. just three friends from college that get drunk and find out they like each other
