She flashes forward to a random point in her future, living one full day in a life she hasn't lived yet-until she falls asleep and wakes up right back where she started. With each jump, Sam meets new people who seem to know her better than she knows herself. But no matter when-or where-she lands, Nick is always her constant. As the years unfold out of order, Sam records each glimpse of the future on cassette tapes-1999, 2004, 2008, 2014, 2020-until her final tape sends her to 2024. Piece by piece, she begins to assemble a life she hasn't lived yet-and uncover truths she may not be ready to face. Still, until the jumps stop, she has no choice but to keep going...one borrowed day at a time.

I was just a normal 14-year-old, living a great normal teenage life.
