To keep my mind off of being hopelessly in love in my best guy friend, my other three best friends came up with a plan of completing 20 dares by the end of the school year. Only, the plan didn't turn out like I expected it to. Then again, I guess I never thought about how my first dare would be to kiss a stranger, who was a well known playboy. He also just so happened to transfer from the local private school to the public high school. Lucky me.

I was secure, unshakable. Making friends was pretty hard, but eventually, I stopped caring. I wondered why they didn't like me. In high school, things changed drastically when Grayson approached me. People suddenly knew my name, and I was hated even more. Everything I believed began to crush. The walls I built so high started to crack. I thought I wouldn't need anyone's attention...but I want his. My heart beat fast whenever he was near me. But I knew he was out of my league. He was a star impossible to reach.

"You disappoint me... What do you even see in him?" "Aren't you tired of this already?! If you want to pick a fight, fight me, not him. Got it??" What he did enraged me so much that I threw my hardest punch at his face, forcing his head to snap to the side. "If you ever touch him again--" before I could finish my sentence, he grabbed my arm and slammed me against the wall. "If I touch him again, what?!" he shouted, his face inches from mine, as I trembled with rage. "Got a big crush on the kid, huh?!" he exploded, and I could feel the weight of everyone's eyes on us. ~~ Have you ever wondered how different your life would be if you changed just the smallest of your actions? I had no say in moving to a new town, but it turned out to be better than I expected. I made new friends, screwed up my chances with the guy I liked, dated two other guys, and fought with my family constantly. Sound confusing? Believe me, everything was confusing until I finally ended up with the guy I fell in love with when things started working out.

People who seem perfect and they look like they have no floors'; they are the people who are suffering, like I was. But I found my savior in the most uncommon place. He was able to look through my mask, he saw the cracks, and tried to fix the broken girl that hid away deep inside the girl who only wanted to be seen as 'fine'. I slowly began to find comfort and safety in him, and I did the same to him. We were two broken people becoming whole. Someone once said when you pass, if you can count your true friends on one hand you are beyond lucky, and I even though I did not like the person that lay before me, I know that he once had true friends, including me. I'm a 17 year old girl who has suffered more than any other, beginning to believe that 'Hope' was just another word the people throw around. Until I fell in love with a badboy.
