Come as you are, And if your make up skills are up to par, Then throw them in a jar, Because this is to release your inner star, Come only, if you come as you are. What is the purpose of beauty pageants? Have you ever realized a beauty pageant is quite the paradox? It is practically a contest for beauty yet all the participants cake pounds of make up on. What happened to true beauty? Oh yeah, make up was introduced. Why don't people enter a beauty pageant with a messy bun, sweatpants, and a t-shirt? If that is their true self then what are they doing wearing a pink, uncomfortable dress with tons of make up on? I introduce to you the first Natural Pageant. There are many stages to prep you including: 30 second introductions, all unnatural beauty removal, shopping from a comfy store, and much more. Those who choose unnatural beauty over real beauty will be disqualified. Let the Natural Pageant begin!

Have you ever felt condemned to the stereotypes that society places on you? Do you ever find yourself "living" in those stereotypes because you've been so programmed into believing that it's how you "should" be? This poem is to open the eyes of everyone who have been judged, stereotyped, and classified into degrading categories by the harsh society we live in. Stereotypes are just ways to keep us all bound, in boxes, unable to reach our fullest potential. Some Common Stereotypes: -Black People MUST speak Ebonics -White people can't dance. -Fatherless homes are reserved for Black families -All Catholic priests are child molesters -All Christians are judgmental -Women are only good for cooking, cleaning, child bearing -White women are weak, docile, ditzy, and stupid -Black women are ghetto, loud-mouth, and violent -Asians are nerds -Blondes are dumb -Brunettes are bitchy -Rich people are better than the less fortunate -Intelligence is a "White" thing -All men are sex starving dogs / rapists / cheaters ...and the one we've all learned as children: -Boys go to Jupiter to get more stupid-er. Girls go to college to get more knowledge. I say let God define who you are. He has a special plan for all of our lives. Don't let society steer you into believing that you must "live" the stereotype that they have placed on you. "This is the way society made me." Screw that! Let's shed our stereotypical images and walk in the light of who we REALLY are. Take the limits off of yourself. No limits, No boundaries! Note: This poem was written back in March of 2013. I was only 16 years old then. My writing has obviously advanced since then, but this poem still has an important message in it. Hope you enjoy! **NOTE: This is a spiritual-based poem. Anyone who is offended by the Christian faith should not read. No hate or spam. Open minds only.

"Hold on, you're telling me that Nathaniel was all flirty with you?" I swallow hard, not wanting to reply to a question like that. It was probably all for fun because Nathaniel was the coolest guy in school and he obviously could get any girl he wanted, so why flirt with me? It was already clear to me that that girl would never be me. I shouldn't let this foolishness get to me. ** STARTED: August 31, 2019 COMPLETED: --- This story is ongoing!! So it is unedited and is still in the process of writing! [on hold] Hope you enjoy :)
