Poems are about self healing, love and sorrow. Challenges between self loathing thoughts and redemtion. About being a survivor and stop being a victom. Finding your own way back to a life worth living. Facing difficult situations and embracing all life has to throw at you and making it on the other side. You are never alone in your pain and if you need to talk to someone always do. These poems where my escape from everything when nothing else helped, letting out the darkness kept the light lit in my heart. written before early 2004 and present day My work is a window to my soul. It is mierly to let my readers have an out let to relate and help better understand, to overcome different life struggles and enjoy a darker side to seeing life through this writer's eyes. I found my passion for writing in high school thanks to a teacher who showed me i could use writing as an out let in my darkest of times and i took that advice and I started to devote myself to writing, Somewhere along the way i got lost and had writers block, but now i've decided that i'm ready to share my stories with the the world. We all have been through good, bad and ugly moments in our life and it is not what life throws at us that counts. We can't control that, but what you can control is how we chose to react to it. Hope you enjoy my work.

These will be pretty infrequent. These were all written from just over a year ago to now. Beware there is Dark and Disturbing imagery!!!

17-year-old Wren Herring has been living in a fog. Ever since her older brother, Nathanael, died in a car accident and she failed her suicide attempt, her life has been spiralling downwards: her biological father died of a heart attack; her depression has only gotten worse, despite the therapy sessions; her crush, Brandon Archer, moved to do a different state to get away from her; and last but not least, Brandon's cousin and her best friend, Kendall Westward, ditched her. Robin is her twin brother who eventually comes to live with them after their dad's funeral. He finds that she's on the verge of falling once again. Will he be her last chance at rising from the dark?

I wrote this originally for a health class project months ago, as it is a letter to someone who is suffering an eating disorder. However, when I rediscovered it recently while going through my schoolwork, I figured that it could be of service to someone. And so I decided to release it to the public. My hopes are that if you are encountering similar events to what occurs in this passage, maybe this story could help you put together the pieces that may have been under your nose the entire time. In addition, there are resources mentioned that could be of assistance to an eating disorder patient, despite the fact that they are specific to where I live. Lastly, never dismiss any potential red flag of an eating disorder: the earlier on you recognize it, the easier it is to stop it.

this is a journal of all the ups and downs and struggles i have. i wanted to make this, not because i want pity, but because i want to get better, and i know many others do too. i figure this gives those people and i a sense of accompaniment while on the road to recovery.
