Rhea Routledge returns to the Outer Banks after spending time away in New York, arriving unexpectedly at the start of summer during the events of Season 1. She doesn't tell anyone she's coming-not even her brother, John B. Her return happens while John B is at the Château with Sarah, in the early stages of their connection. Sarah is the first to notice Rhea, creating an awkward but curious introduction. John B is shocked but happy to see his sister, though her sudden arrival adds tension since he's already dealing with secrets surrounding the treasure and his father.
