A note from the author: I loved watching rom-coms growing up, often coming up with my own take of my favorite scenes I would watch wondering if they could happen to me, only to find that a version of them absolutely did in what has been my own epic romance with who was my first, and now husband 18 years later. The Firsts is entirely fiction, but these characters feel real to me and the moments they experience for the first time feel real too, and I hope they feel real to you too. The full story - all 100,000 words - is written, but as I am in the process of self-editing, I wanted to share releasing a chapter every day with the hopes that you all can help me make this better as we experience another first of mine - the first of sharing this story - together.
