1992. I was born. I grew up without my mom and dad for the most part, as my paternal grandparents adopted me. My parents wouldn't have been any count, as my dad has been on drugs me whole life, and my mom never wanted to learn how to take care of me. That's why my Nana took me in. They did love me, spoil me, and care for me. However, they didn't discipline me properly. Yes, I got whipped when I deserved it, but I was never made to do manual labor or anything like that. Only schoolwork. As a result, I'm more book smart than I am street smart. However, I have learned more street smarts in my adult life.
2000s. I remember igniting my passion for writing in school instead of doing schoolwork or paying attention to the teacher. I vividly remember writing a sort-of "fanfic" of Spyro the Dragon for a video game idea I had. The teacher took it because she was giving a lecture. This happened quite a lot in school.
2010. I graduated with honors and a full-ride schloarship to Pikeville College (now UPike). I dropped out because I had nver been taught discipline. I had 2 jobs in high school and quit both without notice. I had never been taught to give a 2 week notice. I get this urge to change what I'm doing and I just quit whatever I'm currently doing. It's extremely self-destructive. I have been able to maintain focus on only a few things in life: writing, cars, music, art, and video games.
Today: I have a beautiful, still-growing family. We have dogs, cats, and a rabbit. I've had several different pets, but I think I'm cursed to always have short-term pets, because very few last long. My dog Thor is 7, will be 8 this year. I got him after my daughter was born so they could grow up together. They are best friends, and he is her protector. I'm technically disabled, but I don't let my disabilities keep me from doing what I love. The hardest thing for me has been sticking to exercising and (especially lately) working on cars. That hurts anymore.
That's pretty much me!
