I don’t think I’ve ever talked abt my first two YJ OCs… one of them was McKenzie Queen and she was the daughter of Green arrow and Black Canary and I genuinely rewrote her entire character and plot line until she became Cynthia Gold. One day I will do a post explaining how we got from McKenzie Queen to Cynthia and maybe I’ll even release a fic about her.
          
          But the OC I really wanna talk about right now is Lillian Harper. 
          My only really developed Dick Grayson x OC fic. This is gonna be a long one in the replies, but lmk if yall want this to be an actual fic.

Also to explain a little bit more about her and Dick’s relationship:
             
            They have a very under understanding relationship. I’m a firm believer that Grayson is constantly dealing with underlying anger issues, but ever since he was adopted by Bruce and became the first sidekick ever he’s been put on a pedestal. And he’s a performer. So everything he does, he puts on for show.
            
            Lilian met him before he really knew any of the other sidekicks because she was having a hard time making friends in star city. Like at this point, he would’ve met kid flash, but they weren’t best friends and they didn’t know each other’s identities. At first, they did not like each other at all bcs they’re so similar deep down, but they don’t show it. 
            
            Then a year later, her and speedy go missing. 
            
            When she comes back, she’s way angrier and she’s pulling away from her brother and wants someone to talk to that isn’t Dinah or Ollie. So she goes to Gotham and explains what she thinks is going on.  Dick sides with Ollie and Dinah by saying she’s not making any sense and that she’s just not coping well. He basically gives up on arguing with her and gives her a couple leads on who actually kidnapped them. 
            
            When she comes back as Apex, dick is constantly trying to make amends because he feels like it’s all his fault. Which is hard when she refuses to speak. But again, her and dick are the same person in different situations, so he’s able to read her like a book and vice versa. 
            
            The only reason why their relationship is on and off is because she’s still trying to find Roy and he thinks that they deleted the original source so that brings up arguments. Another reason why is because while they do love each other it’s very hard to be in a relationship where the other person literally read you like a picture book when keeping insane secrets from another.

If I do ever write for this fic, and I’m considering it, and I make it to season 2/3/4, this might be slight spoilers IG…
            
            By the time the original Roy is found, she’s been dating Dick on and off (currently On), HAS NOT talked to the clone unless practically forced to, yet she’s the only person aside from him who’s still looking for their original Roy Harper in her free time. When he gets found, she realizes that she does not recognize him. Like it’s been so long since she’s seen this version of her brother that she doesn’t recognize him AT ALL. 
            
            So even though they found her original brother, she lost both of her siblings. 
            
            In s3, she’s trying to reconnect with Will/Roy because she wants to be there for her niece. Who Will and Cheshire  named after her. (Lilian-> LiLian-> Lian)

Anyways, when she’s been saved, she cannot identify with the name Blue Bird no matter what. In her mind that mantel ment good luck because it’s what got her but she always wanted (being treated as an equal to her brother) and it sounded weak. Like a sidekick. But she’s lethal now. She’s been changed to become a killing machine like it or not. 
            
            She becomes Apex, because she IS the apex predator among humans. So before everything happens with Roy and while she’s still blue bird, she’s seen as a young and angry girl, but then after being rescued, she basically looks like an stone cold assassin. 
            
            Even after everything that happens, she’s still convinced that Red Arrow ISN’T her real brother, and genuinely has the biggest I told you so moment of her life at the end of s1.

Like she’s cuddling me type shit and I have to remind her I’m attracted to women bcs in my brain it’s like if a guy I was close with was doing the same shit but I knew he was gay.

I just had the weirdest DC/MCU/Invincible cross over dream ever… like it was so peak but so odd. All animated in a mix of spiderverse and the ST animated show for some reason?
          
          Harley Quinn was spider girl (gewn stacy) but with a giant mallet and following her birds of prey look with the pigtails and stuff. Like her vibe and fighting style was Gwen, but her movement and everything else was giving Harley. 
          The fantastic four was the fantastic FIVE, and was a lineup of John Stewart green lantern (meant to be mr fantastic maybe? But he had more of a personality than either character has icl. Veryyy Johnny Storm vibes), Peter Parker Spiderman but he was a green lantern too and didn’t go by either name, Allen the Alien was there as a green lantern mixed with killowag (meant to be the thing but very stupid?), Storm was merged with Winder Woman (WW’s backstory with Storm’s powers, but she didn’t have white hair… she replaced invisible girl),  then the last part of the fantastic five was fucking human torch if he was named Wally west instead and was able to use fire to run fast instead of fly. All of them had green lantern symbols instead of fives on their chests, but only three of them were actually green lanterns…
          Tim Drake was also there as Robin, and dead ass I NEED to draw his design bcs it was sooo fucking cool. He was working with Harley in this and bcs she has a sorta clown vibe he matched it? Like joker jr colour palette with less purple and more red. It was amazing. He used his bow staff as like a propeller to go faster on his skate board, and lwk he reminded me of silver surfer mixed with Robin mixed with dare devil. Very much a home made suit tho, like broski had sweat pants, knee pads a helmet and a DREAM and he was fucking killing it. 
          
          I’d pay money to see a part 2 of this dream.

I think I’ve don’t this before, but I’m listing to  placing the blame so why not do it again.

          But it’s Kamila having to go though extreme tests of skill loyalty and leadership by her mentors in order for them to consider her a spot on their team, despite being more experienced than nearly anyone else being considered, and despite it being her childhood dream, she doesn’t even see herself being on that team anymore. 
          
          “Are you man enough?” 
          But it’s Reagan making the drastic shift from being ‘just a medic’ at camp to being a frontier soldier for multiple battles and several wars, wondering if her healing is enough to protect her loved ones if that’s the box she feels most comfortable being in. 
          
          “Are you man enough?”
          But it’s Cyntheia despite all her success and skill being doubted or reduced to just a pretty face with a pretty voice and a good PR team to mask her slight attitude, watching someone with her exact personality be praised for it. 
          
          “Are you man enough?”
          But it’s Varia coming to terms with the fact she’s been abused all her life and as a victor is now condemned to a life of unwilling-prostitution, wondering if she’ll ever be strong enough to actually do something about it. 
          
          “Are you man enough?” 
          But it’s Aishō literally being talked down to because she’s a girl and having her strength be undermined JUST because a boy has a similar skill set to her, and she’s seen as weaker despite that not being the case at all. 
          
          “Are you man enough?”
          But it’s Yurie finding out the person she’s in love with will never love her back because she’s a girl and watching someone with her same backstory  be thrown into the spotlight because he’s stronger than she is because she’s not a man and never will be.

Someone asked me if I thought Clarisse  and Selina were implied to be in love in in PJO. 
          Imo, It’s implied in a “this book came out ten years before gay marriage was legal in the USA” kind of way… 
          
          Explanation:
          In the books it sorta feels like when Clarisse got with Chris it was just her settling for someone. If you wanna get philosophical abt it, Chris was the first person she was able to save without having to harm somebody else in the process (saving him from his insanity) and because of that mixed with the fact she carried for him as a friend, it’s almost like she assumed that’s what a relationship was ment to be… had the Percy Jackson series come out maybe 10 years later Clarisse and Selina would 1000% either be dating, or have them both be queer but Selina in a straight passing relationship who never knew Clarisse liked her and Clarisse closeted and never told Selina before she died. 
          
          Also settle flex on behalf of the Canadian government; gay marriage was legalized in Canada in July 2005 and it was legalized in America 10 years later. So HA! Canada is more accepting to gay people (despite everyone I know using homophobic slurs or calling people/places/things gay regularly…)!!!!
