I am Jonathan J. Tanner, an older writer who began my obsession with dark urban fantasy in the early 90's when White Wolf's 'Werewolf, The Apocalypse' and 'Vampire, The Masquerade' inspired me to write about werewolves, vampires, and other creatures of the night. I have a degree in Criminal Justice with a minor in Creative Writing, and I served 20+ years in the military in Law Enforcement. My travels include extensive tours throughout the Far East and across the US. Born and raised in New England, I developed much of my interest in fantasy in a region where folklore and superstition combine with local legends to provide fertile ground for the imagination. Integrating the influence of foreign beliefs, customs, and stories I encountered while overseas, I was inspired to create characters, plots, and a dark world where mythical creatures come to life.
