I write under the name L. Fox, a quiet mask I chose long after the stories had already taken root. Most of what I create lives in the half-light-where truth dims at the edges, memories refuse to settle, and the heart keeps its own secrets. I'm drawn to the places people rarely speak about aloud, the shadows they carry, and the love they bury so deeply it becomes something else entirely. Some call it longing. I call it #ALoveUnlived.
My work moves between worlds: poems that trace the scars left by old wars of the soul, children's tales wrapped in soft strangeness and hidden magic, and fiction that listens closely to the voices history tried to quiet. Whether I'm writing of a courtesan navigating a world of silk and whispered betrayals or a child stepping into a forest stitched with myth, I'm always following the same thread-what becomes of us when our truest selves slip into the dark?
I rarely speak for my stories; they tend to speak for me. If pieces of my truth fall between the lines, they do so by accident-or intention. I haven't decided which. But every world I build leaves one door unlocked. If you choose to step inside, whatever you find there belongs to you, even if it lingers like an echo.
After all, some stories aren't lived-they're carried. Some loves aren't spoken-they're survived.
And some names, like mine, conceal more than they reveal.
