Originally from Italy, Eilís Petroni relocated to Ireland in 2015 and now lives in Connemara, along the west coast. She shares her home with her husband, Liam, and three rescued dogs - Poldo, a border collie, June, a terrier, and Jojo, a poodle.
The rugged landscape and rich cultural heritage of Connemara provide a constant source of inspiration for her writing. By profession a web designer, she also writes fiction and paints, and developed an interest in digital art during the COVID-19 lockdowns, a skill she now puts to use designing her own book covers. Much of her visual work also serves as the starting point for the short stories and posts she publishes on her blog https://www.eiliscorner.com/
When she is not writing or working, she loves swimming in the sea and walking the beaches of Connemara with her three dogs
