I just got done rereading Project X after like 7 years. it's super nostalgic because I vividly remember reading it on my old account years ago and being obsessed with Xander. "Give me a moment to collect myself." He breathed. "Can't you see that I'm still processing you kissing me?"
"It was a peck on the cheek." I was barely audible. "Don't make it such a big deal."
"It is a big deal." He was touching his cheek, disbelief clear in his eyes. "At least to me it is. It's not every day I get kissed by the girl I like."
"It's not every day I get to kiss the boy I like, either." I argued thoughtlessly. Stupidly. I nearly choked on my words. "I mean...not that I like you or anything-Stop smiling. This is exactly why I didn't want to do it in the first place."
I huffed and turned to the window, praying for a chance to jump into oncoming traffic.
"Do what, Harley?" He kept on tormenting me. I could sense his stupid grin as he teased me. "Hey, come on. Don't be mad."
"I'm not mad." I sulked. "You're just a jerk. Can't you be normal like other boyfriends?"
I paled.
