White Wedding, the 7th book in my punk universe, is now live. My punk work is mostly R-rated with some erotic scenes. The main characters are headcases wielding emotion as a weapon. My 2025 rewrite resulted in six books, 213 long chapters. So far, Joe's journey spans 20 years of his family life, love life, travels, and music career.  It begins at the edge of seventeen.

--- CRIME WRITING ---

Watching the Detectives is my first crime novel. I had three goals for that project: write a detective tale, create my first female protagonist, and write in a more concise, disciplined style - the opposite of loquacious punks. I now have three Kat Price, private detective, books.

I love Kat the way I'm attached to all my characters, but in Sunset, the co-stars carry a lot of the weight. I have future cases in the queue, but none are close at this time.

Also, I cross-pollinate Sunset and Punks. Two decades later, the well-established Sunset Private Investigators are hired by Joe Theroux. The detective ladies are co-stars in two of his books. 

--- SACRED HEART ---

And now for something completely different. Sacred Heart is a near-future vigilante crime-action drama with a significant body count. It's the only work I have set in the 21st century.  I wanted to write something as close to a superhero as possible without comic-book superpower bullshit. It's a dark, violent, and bloody affair.

I wrote my vigilante story for NaNoWriMo 2020. All my crime writing is done in the NaNo model. I knock out a complete first draft in 30 days, at least 50k words, the NaNo number. Then I let it simmer,  sometimes for years. When I go back to it, new ideas come during the rewrite.
