I grew up in a small town in rural Germany by the Rhine River, close to nature. In 2014, I hopped on a plane to Japan - no return ticket. I spent eight years in Tokyo and later moved to the beautiful Japanese countryside, where I live with my wonderful wife and a goofy Rottweiler-mix, whom we rescued from a shelter in Brooklyn during a one-year stay in NYC. My work draws on European myth and Japanese fantasy storytelling.
