Tell me why I just saw The Backrooms and it was freaking fantastic. It was deep but also really good at portraying what it would feel like being stuck in that subspace area. It's a really good twist on it and honestly I prefer the direction it was heading. Kinda lost me towards the end but I'm seeing the vision.
