Davina POV:

I had just wrapped up my last class, signaling the long-awaited end of the school day. Outside, I lingered, awaiting my father's arrival. He had texted, indicating we were heading straight to the hospital to see Rose.

My thoughts were divided, straying between two focal points when they should have been singularly fixated. Naturally, concern for Rose occupied a prominent space in my mind, but inexplicably, Aaron kept surfacing.

It puzzled me why Aaron monopolized my thoughts. Granted, his absence from school for several days and subsequent radio silence from friends fueled speculation. Ryan's disclosure of Aaron's number only intensified my curiosity.

Despite doubting a response, I contemplated reaching out to Aaron, torn between genuine concern and the practical necessity of discussing pending project deadlines. Would he even acknowledge my message, considering he hadn't responded to others? In the grand scheme, my significance seemed negligible.

However, the urgency of our project couldn't be ignored. With its deadline looming in a month, I couldn't afford ambiguity regarding Aaron's contributions. The prospect of carrying the workload alone fueled a surge of frustration and apprehension.

I finally see my dad's car, he rolls down his window and says, "Come on." I quickly walk towards the car and sit down in my seat and then the next moment we are off. I was finally going to meet my sister after so long. It was only a few days but still it felt like months not seeing her.

I was finally going to see her.

*20 minutes later*

We had finally reached the hospital, took the elevator to the floor that she was on. I walk past all the rooms, seeing all different kind of people, young people, adults, old age people all here.

As I'm walking past, I'm hearing all sorts of conversations. I got really scared hearing some of them as I walk past. I take a deep breathe and carry on walking. I finally get to the room Rose was in. She was in her own room.

"ROSE." I shout while walking into the room, giving her the biggest hug that I could possibly give her.

"Can't breathe." She says sarcastically as I'm hugging her.

"Very funny." I said as I crossed my arms giving her a angry look.

"I'm sorry, come here." She says as she brings me into a hug.

"It's okay. How are you feeling?" I ask her.

"Um yeah I'm all good." She said as she hesitated. She's hiding something from me isn't she? I thought to myself.

"Are you sure?" I ask her.

"Yes I'm sure." She says.

"Okay good because I have a lot to tell you." I said as I sat down on the seat next to her bed.

"Oh YES! I've been waiting for this one. Spill the tea. " She says as she laughs. Me and her love doing this. We have funny moments, us gossiping sometimes, telling about the drama or even crying our hearts out to songs. Rose and me have such a good bond and I love it. She cares it and listens to me unlike someone who should but that's besides the point.
