Y/n has always felt like life was unfair; always filled with hardships and doubts. Feeling out of place in her own home.

There was a gnawing feeling at the pit of his stomach when Jimin stirred in his sleep.
He would have rolled over and forced himself to go back to sleep but the faint crunch of dried leaves under him grated his ears. His eyes snapped open. The fire was out leaving behind the ashes. He pushed himself up slowly, scanning the area and then his heart dropped.
You weren't there.
The green warding line encircling the area was gone too. Not dimmed. Not flickering. He was instantly on his feet.
He strode to the tree you were sleeping under and inspected around before crouching down to pick up a small empty vial. His jaw tightened when he turned it over— the symbol of Vezgor on the bottom of it.
His gaze lifted sharply and landed on Hoseok who was sprawled on the ground, snoring softly as if nothing in the world had shifted. His nostrils flared.
A few hours ago, Hoseok had insisted on switching watch duty. Jimin had planned to keep watch the entire night. He wouldn't have slept a wink if Hoseok hadn't pushed him to rest 'just for a bit'. It took everything in him to not kick the drooling man awake.
But that wouldn't help with anything. Instead he bolted past the trees. You couldn't have gone too far. He wouldn't let them take you, not after everything.
In the distance, he spotted three silhouettes. He quickened his pace but before he could close the gap, thick black smoke engulfed the three figures. It swallowed them whole in a violent spiral.
"NO—!"
The smoke collapsed inwards and they were gone.
No sound. No trace.
Only silence.
Jimin stood frozen for half a second, chest heaving, eyes scanning the empty space where you had just been.
Did they take you?
...Or did you walk into it yourself?
He took a sharp turn back to wake the others up. Whether you had been taken or whether you had chosen. It didn't matter.
He would find you.

You stumbled a little when your feet hit the ground but were stabilized by the hold of Jungkook and Sia. The smoke around you dissipated as your vision grew clearer.
A gasp immediately left your lips as you took in Sia's appearance. She no longer had those light brown hair you were familiar with. Instead her bob hair had turned into a beautiful shade of silver and eyes as grey as dark, prowling clouds in a thunderstorm. "Welcome to your home," she softly smiled at you.
"Yeah," Jungkook sighed from your left, making you move your gaze to him. His hair had turned into an electrifying blue with black roots. His eyes were also a deep shade of blue— almost black like the trenches of the ocean, making him look gorgeous. You couldn't help but stare longer than needed. "I was only gone for a few months but gosh I missed this place," he continued before looking around in admiration. Only then did you notice the view and froze.
Everything was so big! The trees and plants were like giants. No matter how much you craned your head you couldn't see their tops. You were practically the size of bugs in front of them. The air felt crispier as you took in a deep breath. But everything was so beautiful at the same time! The flowers were in vibrant colors and seemed to glow under the moonlight. The trees were similar but in brighter shades and extremely huge. Even the mushrooms were bigger than you! It was as if someone put on a filter on human realm.
You didn't know what happened to you. Did you become smaller or was the world around you bigger? Did your eyesight become better or was this world just brighter? There was a moon in the sky shinier than you could remember as if it was made out of diamonds. There was no need for extra light when it lit up the whole forest. The sky was covered in stars. Never in your life have you seen this amount of stars stretching over the entire night sky!
"I see you are already growing a liking to this world." Sia's voice made you tear away from the majestic view.
"It's really beautiful!" You couldn't believe there existed a world like this. It was too good to be true. "The moon is so bright and you are so pretty!" you exclaimed happily.
Sia chuckled, ignoring the compliment she just received. "It's the same moon as the human realm but in a different dimension. We call it Oarilia." You let out an 'Oh' at the information.
"It looks brighter because there is no pollution here," Jungkook added.
"I can see that." You grinned still not getting over their new looks. You wondered if you have any difference in your appearance too, but sadly there was no mirror to look into. So, you pulled your hair to the front only to pout at the old brown hair.
"I missed this place too. It's been so long." Sia was trying to capture everything in her eyes to compensate for what she had missed.
"How long?" you asked carefully.
"Almost more than four years..." That's long considering she was just fourteen and she had to go to an entirely different dimension. "But I am here now. So, it's not a big deal." She quickly brushed off the topic as if afraid to delve any deeper. "Let's go. We can't stay here all night."
She walked forward to lead you. You were quick on your feet as you followed her along with Jungkook. You followed her quietly and tried to focus on your path but the surroundings distracted you so much. You were just amazed by everything that you would stop in your tracks to look at something eye-catching but Jungkook made sure to hold your hand so that you wouldn't wander around on your own and keep moving along with them.
You were happy to finally be where you belonged, but you also disappeared without any notice. You wondered how Mrs. Lee and Dad were reacting. Mrs. Lee must be happy that you were no longer around to bother her. You sighed knowing it was for the better.
"Where are we going?" You brought up the question after walking a considerable distance.
Sia didn't look back. "To the palace. You need to meet His Highness."
You followed her as the trees began to thin. The sky was no longer black. A faint streak of gold stretched along the horizon, pushing the night away. The air felt different — lighter.
"Is it sunrise?" you asked.
Sia nodded. "Yes."
As you stepped past the last line of trees, you saw them.
Homes carved into enormous tree trunks. Windows glowing softly from within. Bridges woven between branches. Mushrooms the size of cottages rising from the forest floor, doors cut neatly into their stems.
The town wasn't built on the land.
It was grown from it.
"Wow, it's..." you couldn't find the right word.
"You're in Vezgor."
Lanterns dimmed as morning light filtered through the canopy. People began to stir somewhere in the distance, faint movement behind wooden shutters.
Oarilia faded in the back as if it's job was done. The sun climbed higher and warm lights touched your face.
And you took it as a sign.
