Sitting on a private plane all alone with Huntrix was not how you planned to spend your Tuesday night.
Now, you were simply watching as they devoured all of the food set on the table like starving cavemen—and honestly? You dig it.
So you joined in on their aggressive eating because you were in fact, VERY hungry.
"I need 10,000 calories to get through the choreo." Rumi mumbled while eating.
Mira nodded her head in agreement. "A thousand percent. A gajillion percent."
"Mira, that's not even a real number." Rumi deadpanned at her.
"It can be a number if you believe hard enough." You commented, earning you a nod of approval from Mira herself.
All of them then left their cups to clink them together, making you feel slightly out of place as you were the only one who didn't belong in the group. Rumi, who was sat next to you, noticed and grabbed your hand that was holding a cup too and raised it to join them.
Your eyes widened ever so slightly and as you glanced sideways at her, you just barely managed to catch the warmest smile you've probably ever seen in your entire life.
'Awwww.... RUMIIII!!!"
You smiled as the cups clinked together, the sound resonating within the plane.
You pulled your hands back down again, and Zoey noticed something as she stared at the cup. "There's no water in these."
Rumi looked at hers and she was right, none of the cups had water. "Um, excuse me, miss?" She turned towards one of the staff members in the plane.
The stewardess, who was pouring coffee into a plant like a complete idiot, jerked up and glanced at Rumi with a bewildered expression. "Yes, Miss Hunter...-ix?"
"We asked for hot water..."
The stewardess nodded fervently and awkwardly scurried backwards. "Right away. You're welcome. Arrideverci. Goodbye."
"Uh, okay." The girls exchanged confused glances.
Suddenly, a phone rings. Two phones, actually. Rumi picked up her phone and noticed it was from Bobby while you went slightly to the side so you could speak to Ye-Jun, who had also called you.
You picked the call up and before you could even say anything, you were met with an extremely worried Ye-Jun. His black hair was messy and all over the place, and his glasses were slightly crooked as if he's been running around for a while.
"(Y/n), where are you?!" He exclaimed.
You knew exactly why he was calling, but you needed to act confused. "On the plane. Why?"
You were expecting him to mention you being late, but instead, his first instinct was to ask, "Are you okay?!"
You were caught off guard by the sudden worry in Ye-Jun's voice. "Uh, yeah, I'm fine. Why are you asking?" You knew he was your manager but dang he was acting more like a highly concerned friend than a professional manager.
You could practically hear Ye-Jun's sigh of relief through the phone. "Oh, good. Thank god." There was a brief pause, then he said, "You're very late!"
Your eyes widened in faux surprise. "Really?!"
"Yes! So when will you—"
"Don't worry, I'll handle it!" With that you hung up the call, not knowing what else to say.
When you turned back to the girls, you noticed how they were eyeing the workers critically. A guy was clicking seatbelts together like a dumbass, and the captain was pushing totally random buttons as if he was a newborn baby poking whatever was in sight.
