It was now night, and you were back in your room, staring at the giant windows that showed the entire city in all its glory.

The honmoon was weak, massive spots of pink all over it.

You still had some time before midnight, so you decided to spend it by watching more cat videos.

Thud.

You sat up, alert. What was that? It sounded like it came from your balcony.

Cautiously, you approached the balcony and opened the sliding door. There, on your railing, was a demon bird with three eyes and a tiny hat.

You smiled. Sussie! "Hey lil birdieee!"

The bird chirped, its three eyes staring at you with curiosity as if it could understand what you are saying. When you went closer, it didn't fly away but instead just titled its head.

A soft patch of fur grazed your hand, and you look down to see the one and only demon cat, Derpy!!

Derpy purred as it rubbed its head against your hand, while Sussie chirped in delight and flew up to your shoulder.

They were both so cute. You scratched under Derpy's chin, making its tail wag like a helicopter's propeller, and petted Sussie. While you were preoccupied with the two animals, you didn't notice a certain someone spawn out of nowhere in your room.

"OW- GODDAMNIT." You whipped around as fast as you could to see Ezekiel lying on the floor, rubbing his ass which he seemed to have landed on rather painfully.

The moment he turned his gaze to you though, a scowl immediately crossed over his face.He stood up and dusted himself off as he approached you, arms crossed. "Nice place you got here." He commented, eyeing your room. His tone was laced with sarcasm.

You smirked. "I know. It's very nice. I bet you live in some abandoned house."

"I do, actually."

"Wait, for real?"

"Yeah, for real." He casually admitted to living in a dilapidated, haunted house as he joined you on the balcony.

"Oooookay..." You decided not to question that further. "So, did you teleport in here?"

He sighed, leaning against the railing of the balcony, gaze fixated on the city below. "Yeah. I had to. The guys sleep in the living room so I couldn't just sneak out the front door. I don't know the directions anyway."

You nodded in understanding, returning to patting Derpy and Sussie again, who have both perched themselves comfortably around you.

A moment of silence passed over the two of you as you continued to pet your new companions. (Yes, you're stealing them from Jinu.)

Eventually, you broke the silence, looking over at Ezekiel with a sly smile. "That sounds like a... tough living situation."

He rolled his eyes, folding his arms across his chest. "Yeah, tough is an understatement."

Silence again.

This time, he was the one to end it. "So," he started, glancing at you with a serious expression. "About this whole.. demon and hunter thing."

You stopped petting the animals, turning to give him your full attention.

"I have questions." Ezekiel stared at you intently, not giving you a chance to speak before he asked his first question. "Is there a particular reason I'm a demon and you're apparently soulless??"

You thought about that question. You thought about it hard, really you did, but you ended up shrugging in complete cluelessness.

Your friend sighed, already expecting that. "Okay... next question, before you had to leave, you said you met someone. Who?"
