Chapter Forty One

You reluctantly said goodbye to the girls, your eyes finally glancing at the outside of the front door and seeing the damage the demons had done. The white paint of the door was chipped and scratched and in the centre of the wood was a huge crack. After the girls took their leave you quickly grabbed your phone and took a picture of the damage, sending it to Jinu to let him know that the door had been broken. You also made sure to let him know that you were fine and the girls had taken care of the demons that had done the damage.

After closing the door and shuffling into the front room you paused for a moment your mind searching for something to do to calm yourself. You decided that it would be nice to take a long warm shower, you could even put some music on while you did so. With that decision made you grabbed some nice fluffy towels, grabbed a comfy t-shirt and some shorts, might've slipped into Jinu's room and 'borrowed' a comfy oversized hoodie and took everything to the bathroom.

Derpy followed you like a shadow as you moved, clearly on high alert after what had happened, his feathered best friend also watching you with her six yellow eyes as you moved across the apartment. You stumbled into the bathroom allowing your new animal sidekicks to join you before shutting the door behind them. You put on a playlist on your phone labelled as recent k-pop hits and turned the music up a bit before turning on the water. You peeled of the comfy clothing you had been wearing as Derpy settled himself in the bathtub, his furry form taking up the whole thing, Sussie sitting atop his fuzzy head.

You sighed as you stepped into the warm water, letting it wash away the stress of the demons and letting your thoughts fade into the rhythmic music. You ran yours hand through your hair, letting your body unwind even swaying to the tune playing from your phone. It was so nice to be able to relax in the shower alone for once, even if there were eight pairs of eyes on you; you didn't really count them though as they were just pets and pets are always welcome company.

You spent more time that you should've in the shower only getting out when the room was filled with thick steam from the heat of the water. You were quick to wrap yourself up in your towels, a thick fluffy one round your body and a smaller one for your hair. You basked in the warm fluffy material for a short moment before beginning to dry your body, your hands stopping when you towel brushed against your abdomen. You hadn't taken a proper look at you wound in a while and how it looked always made you feel uneasy, especially as it got closer to the day it was meant to take you out.

The wound itself didn't look worse than before, the red sore skin standing out against your usual skin tone but dry and not bleeding which was good. However some of your skin closest to the wound looked almost grey, like all the colour of the skin was being drained by the wound. You touched the grey skin hissing in pain as you finger came into contact with the off coloured skin. You grimaced as a horrible feeling resonated inside your body, like something inside was moving underneath your skin, inside your innards. One of your hands flew to your mouth as you felt a flood of nausea wash over you, your other hand bracing yourself on the sink.

As you felt panic starting to take hold of you, you were almost startled by Derpy who rubbing his soft body against you. Sussie fluttered onto your shoulder, gently poking you cheek with her beak in between soft chirps, clearly distracting you from the discomfort you were feeling. You took a couple deep breaths, one hand burying itself in Derpy's thick fur and the other one gently running a single finger across Sussie smooth feathered head.

"Thanks you two." You said once you caught your breath. "Where would I be without you two?"

You smiled as Derpy purred loudly in response and Sussie proudly puffed out her feathers making you giggle lightly. You gentley returned the black bird to her spot on Derpy's head so you could throw on your cloths, Jinu's scent relaxing your body and you threw his hoodie on. You took a deep inhale of the material, a long sigh of happiness leaving you as you realised how good he always smelt.

You then scooped up your phone from the floor and left the bathroom, the fresh air of the living room hitting the exposed skin of your legs. You stepped out into the living room just as a new song on the playlist started playing, familiar notes floating out into the room. It took you milliseconds to realise that it was the song that your boyfriends sung, a fond smile finding its way to your face. You couldn't help it when you started wiggling to the beat, mouthing the words and mimicking some of the moves you remembered from their performance.

You were fully singing by the time you got to the pre-chorus, dancing like no one was watching and enjoying yourself. You almost missed the fact that the living room door swung open as the chorus started, almost. You spotted all five of your boyfriends stepping into the room and flashed them a smile, singing their own song at them and shakily mimicking the choreography of the chorus. Before you got halfway through the chorus Abby was quick to slide in next to you and dance with you, a playful smile across his features, Romance also following a few beats later. Mystery just smirked as you as he leaned against the doorway, Baby raising one eyebrow at you and Jinu just watching with an amused smile.

After the chorus you strode towards the mint haired rapper getting up in his space as you spat his own lyrics at him. The demon couldn't help but chuckle at you as you swung your hand around trying to look cool and intimidating like he did in his performance. After his part you found yourself getting dragged backwards into Abby's chest as he took over singing his own part of the verse, making you giggle. He exaggeratedly swayed you back and forth as the pre chorus playing, Romance singing his lines directly to you, a light blush covering your features. Abby let you go and Baby joined you for last chorus, all four of you dancing, singing and posing victoriously at the end of the song. Mystery and Jinu clapped slowly for you all as you all posed a giggled leaving your lips before you hurried to stop the playlist before the next song could start.

"Didn't know we had a secret sixth member." Abby teased.

"She's gonna stay a secret, cos I'm not letting her rap like that for anyone else." Baby mused smirking over at you.

"This is really unfair you know?" Jinu told you finally approaching you.

"Unfair?" You asked looking up at him.

"You singing our song for us, dancing like that for us and looking so fucking cute wearing my hoodie on top of all that." Jinu explained grabbing you by the waist and pulling you against him. "Are you trying to get devoured by five hungry demons?"

You couldn't help the way your face flushed at his words, your hands meekly grabbing at the front of his shirt as you tried to come up with some kind of response.

"I'm not hearing a no." Romance mused peering around Jinu a hungry grin painted across his face.

Before things could progress any further the light flickered and Jinu stepped away from you a look of panic spreading across his face. A second later you were alone all five of the boys gone without a trace, a chill going up your spine from the feeling that had washed through the room at the time they had vanished.

"Hope Gwi Ma didn't interrupt anything." A voice called from behind you, your heart stopped at the sound of that voice.

You spun round, the red haired demon standing in front of the window, casting a shadow over you. Derpy hissed and dive between you and the man, his tail flicking violently in the air like a striped warning. You stumbled backward away from the man, the grin on his face making your whole body cringe in disgust.

"He always did have bad timing." Hyun commented not flinching at the tiger. "Though I guess it's deserved since they were planning on betraying our king for you."

"Get the fuck out of our apartment!" You hissed trying to sound commanding though it came out strained.

"Or what? Your kitten gonna scratch me?" Hyun cooed, faking a look of fear. "I'm sorry sweet little thing but Gwi Ma demands punishment for your boyfriend's bad behaviour." The fake fear vanished and you saw his golden eyes glow, the violent hunger in them making your blood run cold.
