"Ava, you have to be quiet! They'll hear you-"
Tears started to spill from my eyes, blending in with the rain that dripped down my face. I shouldn't have come here. The last time I followed someone I made accidentally noise and got them killed. I ha...
Rylee drove me home after school on Wednesday and helped me get ready for my date with Jaxon.
"I swear you look gorgeous in everything" Rylee gushed, taking a step back to admire me. "I want details as soon as you get home, got it?"
I snorted, shaking my head "You're starting to sound like Daphne"
"Oh great" she rolled her eyes, helping me clasp my necklace. "Well i'm just really happy for you two!"
I giggled. "I'll call you as soon as I get home, okay?"

My phone buzzed as I snapped a cute mirror pic to send to my friend Kiana.
Jaxon: Your sister and I are outside.
My sister?
I opened the front door, and sure enough Jaxon and Melissa were chatting by his car. Rylee followed me over to them.
"Ava!" Melissa announced, noticing us. "I was just telling Jaxon that he needs to have you back by midnight. It's a school night after all."
"I promise i'll have Cinderella home by the stroke of midnight" Jaxon smirked. Melissa shot him one last "i'm dead serious don't be late" stare before turning to me.
"You two have fun. I have to grab some stuff and get back to the office. Lot's of work I need to finish up for Nancy!"
With that she left us standing outside and I gave Rylee a hug before getting into Jaxon's.... new car?
"Since when have you had a Ferrari?" I asked as Jaxon slid into the drivers side.
"It's my dads" he grinned. "I use it on special occasions."
Special occasions like a date? I thought, smiling to myself. Jaxon let me connect my phone to the car, and I shuffled my playlist. "I'm The One" by DJ Khalid was first. As Jaxon drove, I provided the concert, and I even thought I heard him hum along.
We ended up at the beach, which I wasn't prepared for at all. "I don't have a swimsuit!" I exclaimed, to which he shrugged. "Don't worry about it." He quickly got out of the car, and before I could get out, he opened my door, kissing my cheek. "Follow my lead little lady."
Jaxon reached into the back seat, grabbing a picnic basket, some towels, and a volleyball. "We haven't played in while. I think I deserved a rematch from last time."
I blushed, remembering that last time he wanted me to call him "master" if he and Gray had won against Daphne and I. Our relationship had come so far since then. Besides my sister, he was the only person who I felt 100% comfortable with. It was weird how much I pushed the thought of him away in the beginning.
We claimed a spot in the sand, right in line with the sun. Jaxon spread out our towels and I kicked my sandals off. He suddenly grabbed my hand, guiding me over to the the volleyball court.
