I pulled out a book that had a cartoon Jesus on it, smiling with other cartoon people, while at the bottom was a god awful caricature of Satan trying to lure others away. "Why Good People Smile." "Because they're hiding something." I said bitterly. ------------------------------------------------------- Gabriel Lewis has never been a believer. How could you be when your entire job was cleaning a stadium that killed the Imps, humans that had been made something less and exiled were killed gameshow style and watched and laughed at by those claimed to be holy, The same people that killed his parents and had Gabriel exiled. But when he meets Landon Sonne, the son of the very man who was responsible for his parent's death, he's thrust into Saint City, as the new Primary Public Representative of the new political party for Imps with no chance at winning, Gabriel's quiet cynical life can no longer be. And in Saint City where everyone is performing, the question is, if Gabriel can change for the better or lose himself trying. Disclaimer: I do not own the images I use, credit where credit is due. Jesse Cain was supposed to come home in one piece. At just twenty-five, he's already survived the unthinkable-war, loss, and the blast that took his leg and nearly everything else. Now, back in the small town he left behind, Jesse must learn how to live in a world that no longer fits him, inside a body that feels foreign and broken. Haunted by memories, scarred by trauma, and burdened by the stares of people who don't know what to say, Jesse leans on the few constants he has left: his fiercely loyal cousin Jake, his quiet, unwavering mother, and the ache of what used to be. But coming home is only the beginning. As Jesse navigates crowded grocery store aisles, backyard barbecues, and awkward conversations with people who remember the old him, he begins to ask himself the hardest question of all-who is he now? Tender, raw, and unflinching, Only Half Gone is a story of healing in pieces, of learning to stand tall when you can't stand at all, and of the invisible battles fought long after the war is over.

She was born with a disease commonly known as brittle bone disease, he was born with ADHD, and I would have been normal if not for the nurse who accidentally cut my arm off while opening my mom for the C-section. At my school, there are obviously the stereotypical groups of people. The popular/jocks, the somewhat popular, the back-up players and water people for the teams, the loners, the wallflowers, the geeks not the people who get good grades but the people who have the nerdiest hobbies, and finally the nerds. Audrey is a somewhat, Alex is a jock, and I am geek. So what do I do, annoy one of the most popular guys in our school. He has hated me ever since we moved here, don't know why but whatever. There was nothing that could change how I felt about the jerk but what if something did? Would that truly make me see him different? Could I actually trust him and vis versa or is the line between love and hate not as thin as everyone thinks?
