Two short stories I wrote when I was a freshman that kind of go together.

Juli May Blane was a perfectly normal girl. She had a living family, caring friends, and a huge passion for running. When she and her dad get in a car accident it is devastating. Her fathers life was taken but hers was spared for what reason she had no clue. After living "not living" on with the fact that her father is dead and he is not coming back Juli's mom decides that she needs a change. That change would be moving. Juli gets lucky. She finds friends immediately. She may even find love. But she also finds sorrow hurt and pain. How does this affect her running career? Will she let this hold her back?

In eighth grade a group of misfits write letters to their future selves in their english class. They plan an epic road trip bucket list to complete after they graduate high school. Only when the group receives their letters senior year no one is friends any more. What happened? Will they go on the road trip? Will they ever be friends again?

This is a story based off of a myth I created a long time ago and really enjoyed writing. It follows four protagonists of varying background, each of whom has a special connection with one of their gods.
